After working as an interior designer in the food and beverage and hospitality sector, and for a luxury residential design company,
Michelle built up Run Wild Interiors.
Based in Bristol, and working on projects locally and across the UK, Run Wild Interiors creates unique and emotive designs, that reflect the individuality of each person and their business.
Specialising in both independent businesses and residential interiors, the designs evolve from not only a creative approach to development of the concept, but also from how you want to feel in, and experience, the space.

Finding the right scheme and design to suit both the persons using the space, and the building itself, takes careful consideration:
Colours can affect how you feel in a space - as can textures, creating sensory experiences; objects and imagery can evoke a sense of nostalgia or enhance an understanding of the past; looking at the room layout, and where light falls, can greatly impact on how it is experienced.
I take the time to work through all of these stages with you, creating unique and personalised designs that enhance each individual space.

'When I moved into my new house I had no idea what to do with my tiny, pale blue lounge - I had no idea how to make it seem cosy or how to make the best use of the limited space.
Michelle really took the time to understand how I wanted to use my lounge, and by factoring in all the details of the room - the way it faced, the features, my budget etc - came up with a brilliant design that was personal for me.
Michelle talked me through the design every step of the way, explaining why certain colours would work best in my room, how certain styles and layout of furniture would make best use of the space, and what sort of décor would complement and why.
I was so pleased with the lounge that I've asked Michelle to do a scheme for my dining room as well, as this is a room I don't make the most of and it's a tricky one for layout and natural lighting. Having seen Michelle's expertise in practice, I knew she'd understand the challenges and be able to give bespoke advice on how to make my room somewhere that I want to use and spend time in.
With Michelle again taking the time to explain the rationale behind her suggestions and demonstrate that she'd listened to my brief about how I wanted to use the room and what was important to me from the redesign. It's fascinating to hear the 'science' behind the problem solving, and why I should go for certain colours, or furniture, or lighting etc. The colour scheme is one that I never would have thought of myself, and despite being slightly nervous about it (before the paint has gone up!) I completely trust Michelle and know I will love it when it's done.’
